Here are the instructions on how to debloat a fresh installation of JDownloader 2.

Installation

Go to JDownloader’s download page, select the OS and choose between the versions. It will open a MEGA page with the download. Click on the Download button and run the setup file.

Debloating

Once the application is installed, click Settings on the top bar and choose Settings from the menu (you can also just press CTRL+P to open it directly).

On the side bar, scroll down until ⚠️ Advanced Settings. You may get a warning about potential issues about changing the settings: just click Ok (optionally, click on the Don't show this again checkbox before pressing Ok).

On the filter settings, search for these things:

  1. Premium alert: uncheck all the boxes
  2. Oboom: uncheck the box (you will get prompted to restart JDownloader, just press Ok for now)
  3. Special Deals: uncheck the box
  4. Donate: set the value from Visible (Automode) to Hidden (Automode)
  5. Banner: uncheck the box

After everything, close JDownloader by pressing on the X (be sure to select Exit JDownloader) or by selecting File on the top bar and clicking Exit.

Reopen JDownloader and everything should be clean.
